Changing personal data
Once a user has ended up registration with creation of a personal zone, no
changes can be made to the following personal data:
User name in English (used as a login to the RePEc Author Service);
User password;
Name of the personal site.
To update the other registration data, you must login to the SPZ and open
"Change personal data" in the main menu panel.
Differences between Russian and English interfaces of the Personal Zone
The language of the interface is selected during registration; the choice can
be made anew later. The English-language interface of the Personal Zone does
not provide access to some Russian-language series (specified in customization,
report control, etc.), while the Russian-language interface gives access to a
wider range of series.
Data Security
Unfortunately the Socionet Personal Zone does not ensure a high level of data
protection, including the users’ personal data and information resources
created by them. Therefore, we recommend:
to log out using the appropriate button in the main SPZ menu, when your
session in the Personal Zone is over, and to close the browser window in which
you worked with SPZ. Once the user has logged out, the system promptly "erases"
his/her login/password (by default, this happens 120 minutes after your last
contact with the Personal Zone services);
to save backup copies of all resources you’ve produced in the Socionet
Personal Zone on your personal computer as well;
to take standard precautions while using your login/password to enter the
Personal Zone.
